According to the results of a recent survey many women in the UK think that the greatest modern invention is hair straighteners, which many women have come to rely on.
Just a decade or so ago anyone that didn’t have poker straight hair naturally had to cope with having waves or curls as part of their hairstyle whether they liked it or not. Whilst brushes and hairdryers could go some way towards taming wilder hair, for many women this simply didn’t give the desired result, and women all over the globe had to cope with hairstyles that they didn’t particularly like simply because there was nothing that they could do to change their hair.

In the latest in a string of salon thefts burglars have made off with a number of sets of GHD hair straighteners along with a range of other items.
With the recession in full swing industry officials have predicted that the level of burglaries affecting both homes and businesses is likely to rise, as unscrupulous people try and get some extra cash. It seems that the target of many burglaries lately has been the average hair salon, and amongst the items that thieves seem to be targeting are the popular GHD straighteners, which normally retail for over one hundred pounds.

According to a recent report a hairdresser that was jailed for stealing thousands of pounds worth of GHD straighteners has walked straight into a new job.
According to a recent report a thirty seven year old hairdresser who allegedly stole around sixty two thousand pounds worth of GHD hair straighteners from the celebrity hardresser’s that he worked at has walked into another job at an upmarket salon after being released from jail. Mark McMorrine worked at Charlie Miller in Edinburgh, which is where he is said to have stolen the GHS irons from.

Trading Standards officers in Plymouth have recently been warning consumers about the dangers of counterfeit hair straighteners that are being offered for sale.
According to recent reports residents in Plymouth are being warned to be careful about counterfeit hair straighteners that are being offered for sale, with officials from Trading Standards sending out the warning to all those that think that they are picking up a bargain by buying the straighteners at what they believe to be a knock down price compared to the regular retail price.
