Hair care range to be fronted by Cole

Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been chosen by L’Oreal to front a new hair care range, making her the first British woman to be chosen by the company for their ad campaigns in over ten years.

Around ten years ago she was just another kid with high hopes listening to Spice Girls songs, but in the last decade Cheryl Cole has come a long way. Since being catapulted to fame after being chosen for the hit band Girls Aloud on Pop Stars, she has gone from strength to strength, and her clout in the world of entertainment and fashion has been cemented with a contract from L’Oreal, which will see her front the launch of a new haircare range.

Hair straighteners blamed for fire at house

A recent fire at a house in the UK has been blamed on hair straightening irons being left on, showing how important it is for those using these devices to take care and ensure that they are turned off after use.

As most women will be only too aware forgetting to switch off or unplug hair straightening irons after use is all too easy, and with so many women these days using these devices this can be quite a worrying thought. It has already been revealed that these devices have resulted in an increase in burns amongst children who have got their hands on still-hot straighteners or those that have been left on, and it seems that there could be an even greater risk.

GHD hair straighteners are amongst the most popular straightening iron brands, and whilst they are very expensive compared to some other makes and models many people are prepared to pay the money in order to get their hands on these irons. However, the popularity of these GHDs has led to a massive counterfeit GHD hair straightener market, and many people that purchase these fakes thinking that they are getting a great deal on the real thing are actually buying fake irons that are not only nothing to do with GHD but are also potentially dangerous because they do not adhere to standards.
