» Hair care range to be fronted by Cole

Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been chosen by L’Oreal to front a new hair care range, making her the first British woman to be chosen by the company for their ad campaigns in over ten years.

Around ten years ago she was just another kid with high hopes listening to Spice Girls songs, but in the last decade Cheryl Cole has come a long way. Since being catapulted to fame after being chosen for the hit band Girls Aloud on Pop Stars, she has gone from strength to strength, and her clout in the world of entertainment and fashion has been cemented with a contract from L’Oreal, which will see her front the launch of a new haircare range.

Having done everything from star in movies and enjoy a string of number one hits to becoming one of the latest judges to join hit talent show X-Factor, Cole is now set to front the advertising campaign for the L’Oreal Elvive Full Restore 5 range, and officials from L’Oreal have said that with the range being targeted towards women in the UK Cole is the perfect choice.

Cheryl stated recentlu: “I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase ‘because you’re worth it’ so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing. Every woman has the right to feel beautiful and L’Oréal Paris makes that aspiration achievable”.

An official from L’Oréal stated: “The company is very international and we have a lot of US signings and we felt we were missing a UK celebrity. We researched a number of options but Cheryl just tested so well with the UK public. She is considered the nation’s sweetheart and is held on great affection by the British public. We sign on personality as much as anything.”
